Today is JTL release day in this incredible edible internet world of online gaming we know and love/like/hate/spit on.
The only thing is, someone forgot to invite the other half of the world.
In an effort to quell the unhappy Bounty Hunters with the funny accents, Thunderheart, friend of cartoon animals everywhere, had this to say;
Jump to Lightspeed will be on shelves throughout Europe on November 5th.
Thanks!
That did not make the little Padawans happy at all.
Is this the best you could come up with?
There are many players wanting an explanation and you come up with this tripe. A one line statement, do you intentionally try to annoy your European Customers?
At least say that you are sorry about it or something. Or even better don't activate JTLS on the European servers until its released. Why don't you actually listen to the concerns of your European customers?
You know, being Australian, this kind of thing pisses me off to no end, but perhaps someone hasn't attended enough Delivery Logistics 101 or World Wide MMORPG Releases For Beginners classes.
Hate to break it to ya, kids. But that's the way companies and software releases work in this big bad nasty world.
Meanwhile, in another part of the forums, those players that tried to register their copy of JTL to obtain the veteran reward eventually found out that they were in fact not meant to register until the next day.
Of course, this rather pertinent information, which also stated that trying to register at this time would result in the cd key not being recognized as valid, was not posted on the website until players had already started to receive the software.
Ooops.
Oh, and thanks!
P.S., many Bothans died to bring you these release dates.

The launchpad even says to claim your reward you have to wait an extra day....What, people cannot read. Not to flame, but seriously. Besides, I am an American and I have to wait two weeks after the release to get my copy. Why, because I have to wait for Sony to ship me the thing because I live in Okinawa.....thanks to the AF.

I have a similar problem as you, Mike... I live in Iraq which means that I also have to wait two weeks. :(
