This is why Sweden doesn't have a MMO.
When told about this incident and asked for a comment, Funcom laughed.

Cultures are not all the same. The swedish view is just as valid as ours. /shrug
WoW should stat what the monthly fee is no the box in U.S. Dollars. Also, the "Internet" required pat would confuse the crap out of most sweds. Try and explain a "watch strap" to them.

Actually, Scandinavia is more technically advanced than we are in some ways (Internet connectivity, cellphones, etc.)
Also, I don't have a WoW box handy, but the five MMO boxes I do have in my office all say "Internet Connectivity Required" and "Additional Subscription Fees Apply", right by the age rating and system specs. Unless you want "DON'T BUY THIS GAME, IT WILL CHARGE YOU MONEY" stamped on it, not sure what else you'd expect.
This isn't much different from buying a game and finding out it requires a 3D card and won't run on your laptop.

I do have my WoW box handy, bought here in Sweden. The front says "Internet connection required" and "Additional online fees apply". I do not have the collectors edition though, but i would be surprised if that box didnt have the same text. Although i have to admit that the text on the box isnt very large. :)
But what we have here is someone that is not the brightest patch on the lawn, combined with journalists that has abolutely no clue about computers in general and computer gaming in particular. They described charging a monthly fee as a NEW trend in computer games in the show. New? Isn't Evercrack celebrating its 6:th birthday? :) And before that there was UO and before that...
This consumer program is usually quite good on cracking down on bad buisness practices, but even they have their dark moments. :)
