It's
been thought and discussed for a while now that Blizzard a) should and b) is
working on cross-server Battlegrounds. About 2 or so weeks ago I brought up
the notion again.
Now Gaming Steve, who makes it no secret that he is invited into the Blizzard
Cone of Silence from time to time for some nice scones and a bit of a chat,
offers something
to chew on.
Blizzard is hard at work right now creating new enhanced Battlegrounds servers. These servers will no longer be regulated to a single realm, but cross-linked across Realms to create an diverse PvP experience! Right now they are planning on linking 16 realms together per Battleground server for massive PvP action. You could imagine how this can really help out the Battlegrounds situation, not only will the queues go much faster but you'll finally get a chance to fight across Realms.
So, 16 realms to a cross-server Battleground. Think DAOC's cluster feature without the need to look for action in 3 different frontier instances. It's a safe bet that character names, when in the Battleground, will take on the form of something like "Cosmik [Uther]", but it’ll be interesting to see what happens with trading between characters when in the Battleground.
Leave as is, and it opens the way for the Battlegrounds to turn into a cross-server bazaar where half the people engage in PvP and the other half trade gold and goods between servers. Disallow trading in the Battlegrounds, and actions like Mages giving out water or Warlocks passing around Healthstones are disadvantaged. A creation of a NO-TRADE flag that is turned on for specific items only when in the Battlegrounds feels like a reasonable compromise.
The following! exciting addition! is also mentioned!
But to be honest that’s nothing compared to what they're planning for the future.
Imagine the features of Battle.net combined into the world of Battlegrounds: Worldwide rankings, tournaments, ladders, and more, only for the entire world of Battlegrounds. Yes, Battlegrounds will undergo its most radical change during the release of Burning Crusade expansion with Battlegrounds becoming a true worldwide tournament!
All of the changes outlined in this post are good and all,
but I hold a dark feeling that they won’t address what truly matters: helping
the Blackrock Alliance win at least one

Is it? I don't think so. http://111111suwn.com alternative 222222 333333 Bye now
