As Gamespy
mentions, the new WoW Alliance race will be unveiled at E3 this week. As
Gamespy doesn’t mention, the new WoW Alliance race is apparently not the Draenei (which was seen as the
forerunner over these past, what, a bazillion months during which people have
been trying to figure it out).
If you
found the prospect of Draenei or Mok’Nathal hard to swallow based on the lore
currently written about them, then hold on to your friggin’ pacemaker.
Jumping
to conclusions based upon the pictures following this sentence, the new
Alliance race is the Eredar.
Yes,
that’s right. The Eredar. The devilish and supreme sorcerers that were a
integral force within the Burning Legion.
One of
three things can happen from here.
1) The
new Alliance race is indeed the Eredar, but the these Eredar are a diminished
and outcast sect. Lore is only what Metzen decides to make it, so this is
possible.
2) The
new Alliance race is not the Eredar, but as WoWWiki states, these shots merely
depict Khadgar (Mage) and Turalyon (Paladin) returning from the Outlands. In
this case, the newbie area looking shot is merely a place where Eredar are
present. Think Goblins in WoW.
3) We
wait until tomorrow to find out the real deal. It’s not like you can’t wait,
you freaks.
