Want to buy a speed-hacked, botted to level 60, uber flavor-of-the-month character on eBay? Well, your days are numbered if Blizzard has their way.
This is not allowed, and our support and legal teams are working with eBay to shut down sale of World of Warcraft accounts and items permanently. However
However...we like money and so this won't take effect until each of us have a new sports car?
However...I'm busy teaching Nebu how to use permalinks and can't finish this sentence?
However...I just don't care for your bitching so I'm outta here?
Either way, a noble sentiment on the part of Blizzard. However (and I'll finish this sentence), can we expect this to be as (in)effective as other efforts to keep MMOG sales off eBay? All signs point to yes.
If by chance Blizzard does bend the space-time continuum and Beelzebub decides to buy a pair of skis, we're only likely to find the rats moving to another ship.
It seems there's only one company that is likely to win in the MMORPG "My game can beat up your game" wars. That company is eBay.
That's the way life goes. That's the way capitalism goes. Now heal your shattered dreams of a fair and even world with a good laugh courtesy of Ubiq.
There's nothing wrong with buying and selling accounts and items. To bad, so sad if you can't afford stuff. Get a job or something.
Oh wait? Having time to play is okay but not having time to play but having money instead is bad?

I have money, and time, I don't buy items, WHERE DID I GO WRONG?

Time is money...
You have time therefore money is not required to advance in game but it allows you the ability to never leave the game, even if your father dies of cancer and leaves your mother to take care of the family multimillion dollar business, while you gain leetness in an ORPG..
Rest easy knowing you are one of the lucky ones.
Like EQ before, people with time and money are the foundation of the uber guilds that WoW is designed for/around.

I actually made a little real life change from EQ2 before I received the nasty VeRO notice that first Monday from Ebay (after starting my gold selling on Friday)..
It was a fun experiement. I made 140 dollars. A little pissed that they stopped my fun though.
If I didnt' hate UO so much I would go to it and run some sort of pseudo-business. :)
