It's hard to get people to play a shitty game. And it's not like they're needed to get people to play a good one. So...it's a rock and a hard place for them. I certainly don't envy it.

True, and which is what I was getting at with my last comment. If it seems they don't have an observable effect on the games they work with, and all the big publishers don't need them, how is it they stay alive?

Good consultants make thiongs better and get results, *that* is why they cost an arm and a leg.

The industry is young and a lot of unqualified people are pretending to be experts and actually learning on the job, Savant for example. /duck
